    day 13: jersey a-line dress

    today i sewed a dress:

i based it off a dress that i own and like, but it's made of a silky
material, whereas this one is made from 2 jersey materials. the top is
cut from a tshirt, the bottom is the same printed fabric i used the
other day for my haramaki project. i'll try to take a picture of me
wearing it tomorrow when there is daylight.

this looks really comfy and cute! i'd love to see what it looks like on. did you layer the two fabrics together on the top? just wondering about the lighter orange inner layer on the top - if that's the same as the printed orange skirt material.

thanks yall! i didn't get to take a photo wearing it but will try to at some point. also, i should've mentioned that the orange layer on top is just a tank top that i put on the hanger to cover up the back of the dress b/c it's unfinished looking...

i'm excited to be doing tad for the 4th year in a row! i don't have any grand plans or a theme planned this year but want to try making a variety of things, similar to projects i have done in the past: plush toys, refashioned garments, sculpey figurines, photography, drawings and illustrations, and other miscellaneous things i've been meaning to do/wanting to try.
