    day 10: this little piggy

    i have been wanting to try sculpting with sculpey, this is my first project:

    this little piggy sculpey

    it's made of super sculpey, and it measures about 1"x0.75"x0.75". i
    haven't tried to bake it yet but will do that soon, wish me luck!

    thanks yall :) yeah, you're right, he's a bit crispy... apparently, you're not supposed to overcook b/c you're baking plastic and it does something chemical that isn't good (a materials scientist might know... :) i am using j's supplies, he has a bunch of stuff he collected over the years, plus some ones he got more recently that are silcone tipped. for this pig, i used a wedge shaped one to blend the parts into the body, and a pointy one for the eyes/nose. to get the body round, i just rolled with my hands.

    i'm excited to be doing tad for the 4th year in a row! i don't have any grand plans or a theme planned this year but want to try making a variety of things, similar to projects i have done in the past: plush toys, refashioned garments, sculpey figurines, photography, drawings and illustrations, and other miscellaneous things i've been meaning to do/wanting to try.
