i thought it was really cool and thought i'd try to illustrate a dress
i saw at a museum exhibition of costume history:

wow! you really captured the look of this dress. your costume illustrations have such a unique style. did you draw this one on paper and then transfer it into Photoshop?

thanks, robin! i did draw on paper then transfer to photoshop, where i colored it.

thanks, suko! i haven't colored that much in pshop, want to try it more/learn more tricks... the illustrations that i did in class last semester were either color pencil or watercolor or watercolor pencil, then enhanced in pshop in some cases, but not ever from scratch.

i also want to try markers, but i'm told it's more difficult/advanced than watercolor, which i'm not that good with.

thanks for following me, joanna! glad you like the sketch, i'm going to try to do more over the month (and beyond). i'd love to see your drawings too, we can share w/ each other... it's doubtful i'll make the dress, but maybe i'll try... :)
