very nice. Is it based on an real Chinese character or is it just based onteh general shapes and styles found in Chinese characters?

hi richard, welcome back! it's an interpretation of the chinese character for 'rabbit' : 兔子 (tùzi).

ok, I can see similarity - would this be considered a clever wordplay in Chinese? (my apologiy if my question seems utterly naive)

no, it's naive at all. unfortunately, i didn't grow up in China, so i have no idea whether it's clever, daft, offensive, or anything! i just thought it'd be fun to try... :)

i'm excited to be doing tad for the 4th year in a row! i don't have any grand plans or a theme planned this year but want to try making a variety of things, similar to projects i have done in the past: plush toys, refashioned garments, sculpey figurines, photography, drawings and illustrations, and other miscellaneous things i've been meaning to do/wanting to try.
